As the nursery rhyme goes:
Little Jack Horner
Sat in a corner
Eating his Christmas pie
He stuck in his thumb
And pulled out a plum
And said, "What a good boy am I!"
We've noticed for a while that Ollie investigates new things with his thumbs, especially his right thumb. He's our little Jack Horner!
The very first thing he does when we put him in his exersaucer is to swivel around and find the yellow squeaker-button and he thumbs it over and over.
When we give him a little pile of applesauce on his tray to "eat" (i.e., smear around with maybe 0.04% actually making it into his mouth), what does he do? Poke it with that thumb!
It seems he does go through life thumbs first -- at least so far.
